Surgery Requirements
- Preoperative lab work is required for all patients 2 years of age and older. Chest radiographs are required for all patients 8 years and older and must be completed no later than 72 hours prior to the scheduled procedure. Age requirements may vary based on patient history and are subject to the discretion of our doctors.
- For all dental procedures and elective procedures, pets must be up to date on all core vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella for dogs; Rabies and FVRCP for cats).
- A $100 deposit is required to schedule surgery and will be applied toward the procedure. It is refundable if the appointment is canceled at least 24 hours in advance.
- For safety, flea/tick control must be administered within 28 days, but no later than 72 hours before the procedure.
- Pre-surgical medications need to be picked up prior to the scheduled surgery date. The medications need to be given 1 hour before check-in and may be given with a very small amount of food if needed.
- No feeding after 8 p.m. the night before surgery. Water is fine overnight.
